Change Agent Leadership -

A question has been asked of me more times than any other in my career. "How do you make the transition to a new facility and turn it around so quickly?" I accomplished this task by creating my role as an agent of change. "Being an agent of change is what I make and my leadership style as I move from facility to facility in recent years.

The success of the change has many facets. One that causes the most significant change is the concept of leadership supervision. How to monitor and conduct is essential for general operations, personal development and growth.

There are four components that I have practiced as a leader in every medical facility I have operated.

Understanding Human Behavior: incorporates the identification, implementation, and understanding of his own personality and traits and characteristics of others. Through this understanding, you learn how to successfully motivate, stimulate and inspire their colleagues, employees, partners and customers. How many times have you ever worked for someone who treated you bad, disrespect, or fear? Do you remember how you felt? Do you treat people this way? Look at yourself first. This is the consciousness of itself. There are several personality tests can be used or distributed to its staff. You can administer these tests to your system or hire someone to manage it for you. Either way, you want to know what makes your staff "tic." What makes them wake up every day excited to come to work? What are their work styles? Would you like to work independently or to work best with a lot of direction? Understanding human behavior is so vast that it could spend a lifetime studying the details. As a leader, you need only know the basics. Who are you and your staff?

Respect: Say no more, right? You are probably thinking, "That's a fact!" Respect is the difference between a successful leader and a leader without success. Respect is earned, not granted through academic or professional success. The definition is to show respect for or feel the honor in high esteem, and show consideration for. Humility is a willingness to be humble or the lack of false pride. Humility produces an image as a leader of servant leadership. This production generates respect. The respect that is needed to succeed and to promote unity among the team is through servant leadership. When he is respected for his work, and approached his team in a humble way, you can create a tacit bond which unites the leaders of your team. The combined respect and humility that allows the opportunity to make mistakes and not be judged. When he is respected by his team can move seamlessly into your own work. When not followed, creating a gap.

Communication: If you did a Google search on today's communication, your search is approached over 351 million results. For the purpose of which is easy to follow, I will touch base in three key areas.

1) Communication Channels: For me, there are only four of them I focus on: transmitter, receiver, message, and votes. The sender sends the message. The recipient receives the message. And finally, the receiver gives a response so that the sender knows the recipient receives the right message. The four steps are essential. If one is lost, then the communication can and probably will not be complete.
2) Nonverbal Communication: What the body of the face and eyes expression is priceless. You can learn more about how someone receives a message with your body language and facial expressions than any spoken word. And it is so important when you meet someone, you should take into account not only of their expressions, but yours as well.
3) good listener: Simple. Make eye contact, stop what you're doing, do not interrupt, take notes and paraphrase.

Corrective Action: Corrective action is an attempt to change a behavior, compared to a weakness in performance, correct a violation of policy, or train for improvement in some areas. Corrective action is not always written, but I recommend to record any action taken to support a pattern. I have witnessed supervisors or leaders fail because they were afraid of the practice of corrective measures. This is a very important tool for success as a leader. Help your staff to identify these areas and what steps should be taken to correct them. The identification of responsibility for one's actions relative to earnings for you as a leader, and leaders within their facilities. This affects everyone, since you as an administrator to the entire online staff. Show your own self-respect and humility openly identify their own accountability in its own role, and be transparent when you are being held accountable for both good and bad. Always address this area with facts, not feelings. Be honest, fair and consistent. His goal with the corrective measures to improve performance.
